@Samael527 Nope, the slide is not forward. Take a look again at the opening shot of the video. Slide is still atop the frame, not forward of it. So since the slide was not forward, at least one more round was in the chamber.
He only fired sixteen shots, the slide is forward.

Shows you it’s nothing like Dirty Harry by saying “why wasn’t I watchin’ the other hand?” Justified is a hell of a lot better than Dirty Harry, and Timothy is a hell of a lot better looking than Clint.

I haven’t seen Rango yet but if he VOICED a character that looked exactly like Clint Eastwood in Rango, what does that have to do with this video? Anyone? Anyone?

…Dude…you’re looking WAAAY to far into this. It’s not about professionals knowing about how automatics work or chambers and him not having to even have said that line, it’s a show. It’s paraodying a famous character and is suppose to invoke humor thus promoting the chances of people watching it.
When I first saw this commercial a friend got all up in arms saying “They ripped off Dirty Harry!!”. Clearly is was a reference and parody, that’s why he says “This situation feels very familiar” at the beginning. It’s like the Star Wars reference commercial they did, where he’s sitting at the bar table with the guy and says it reminds him of Star Wars, then goes on about the Greedo shooting first thing before they finally pull on each other. Anyways, Justified is great, WATCH!!

Then again, anyone who has a basic working knowledge of firearms knows that most automatics lock the slide back when they run out of bullets, so he really doesn’t need to ask the question in the first place. The point I was trying to make was that Clint Eastwood has been a long standing badass, whereas this guy is new, and doesn’t seem as awesome to me, but thats my opinion. The reason the refrence seems cool is cause he’s standing on giant’s shoulders
The idea is to invoke Dirty Harry, be funny, and to get people to watch the show. I say FX has succeeded.
